Our family’s HiSign® plan.
Set up. Practice. Check.

Start with someone you call often. Set up HiSign together, then try a relaxed practice call.

Invite someone to set up HiSign →

  1. Get the app.

    Install HiSign on each person’s phone. Help each other get started.

  2. Add each other.

    When you’re together, open HiSign and follow the steps to add each other. Repeat with other family members.

  3. Try it on a call.

    Open each other’s contact in HiSign. Read the words under “You say” aloud. The other person looks for the same words under “They say.” Then swap roles. Speakerphone can help.

    “Let’s check our HiSign.”

  4. Check when a call matters.

    Agree when you’ll use HiSign, such as an urgent call or an unexpected change of plans. Take a moment to check together.

It’s okay to ask.

Either of you can ask for a check. If you can’t finish it or the words don’t match, pause and give each other time.

What does a match mean?

A match shows both devices hold the established relationship secrets for the current minute. It does not by itself prove who is speaking or rule out relay or coercion.
